Acid Floor Paint

Armorgarage has a full line of acid resistant novolac epoxy floor coatings and concrete repair compounds that provide the highest level of protection against hundreds of different chemicals and acids.

Spray it evenly across the floor. Make sure that the sprayer is primarily plastic because the acid will corrode any metal parts. When you apply the acid stain the lime deposits in the concrete are what react with the acid giving the flooring its different coloring. For many years it was a standard method of concrete preparation used by nearly all industrial commercial and institutional floor coating installers depending on the floor size and system to be installed.

Allow it to soak for a few seconds and rinse. Then pour the acid based stain into a handheld airless sprayer. Use baking soda on the cleaned area to neutralize the acid and rinse. Consider using figure 8 patterns to spray the acid stain randomly but evenly to thoroughly coat the floor with the stain.

For stubborn stains use muriatic acid in combination with your pressure washer set to at least 1200 psi. Acid etching is the process of applying hydrochloric muriatic or buffered phosphoric acid to a slab then rinsing it off with water. This will create a more consistent finish. Novolac epoxies are a class of epoxy coatings that are specially made to resist caustic acid and chemical spills.
